Your Job: Business Software Engineer
Location: Luxembourg (with Home Office)
Experience: Engineering degree or equivalent
As a start-up, everyone has to be hands-on. You will have technical and business analyses
responsibilities.
Quite classical, the technical responsibilities will be the following:
● Participating in the development of IBISA software constellation. We have 2 main
technological stacks, the web application one (NodeJS, TypeScript, React, MySQL)
and the data processing one (Python, Dash, Flask, PostgreSQL). You will need to be
familiar with one of those stacks.
● Participating in the development of IBISA general architecture. IBISA is cloud-based
(AWS and Google Cloud), dockerised, all in continuous development and integration.
● Be accountable for the quality and reliability of our platforms (unit testing, etc.)
The business analysis responsibilities will be :
● Participating in discussions with our clients all over the world (India, Philippines,
Ghana, Kenya, Guatemala, etc.). Understand their needs and how they utilise our
tools. Propose improvements, and design a mock-up.
● Accompany our clients in utilising the tools: training, Q&A, etc.
● Work with different teams within IBISA, mainly the project managers and the actuarial
team.
All our projects and activities are done in Lean Start-up (Agile) methodology
Do you have a good knowledge of software development and IT but you do not want to do
only that, and keep the context with the field and the user?
Do you like to interact with users, communicate and teach?
Do you like to solve problems, design solutions and propose ideas?
On top of it, you do not have problems working in English, or working in Luxembourg?
Are you autonomous and a bit entrepreneur?
